The Thomas Jefferson Area Planning District Commission, which also staffs the Charlottesville-Albemarle Metropolitan Planning Organization (C-A MPO) has completed this Plan as an update to their 2004 Jefferson Area Bicycle, Pedestrian and Greenways Plan. The 2019 Plan encourages implementation by providing a focused list of regionally-significant bicycle and pedestrian projects that enhance connectivity to residential and economic centers. Public involvement informed the Plan and will be important for encouraging implementation. It was adopted by the C-A MPO Policy Board in February 2019 and by the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission in March 2019. |
