BACKGROUND: Earlier this year the Board approved video streaming of regular Board meetings as part of implementing Granicus, the County's new agenda management platform. The first phase of Granicus involving the new online platform for agendas was successfully implemented in June, and since that time staff has been taking the necessary steps to prepare for video streaming. Staff anticipates that video streaming will begin with the Board's first regular meeting in October, and is providing this update in advance of that meeting.

DISCUSSION: The Board approved video streaming to increase the transparency of and access to the Board's actions and deliberations. In developing the budget and parameters for the initial phase of video streaming, the Board established and approved the following parameters:
- Only regularly scheduled meetings of the Board of Supervisors that take place in Lane Auditorium would be included;
- In addition to live streaming, video on demand must be available within 36 hours of each meeting; and
- The video produced must be reliable, consistent and of broadcast quality video.
