BACKGROUND: In August 2025, the Board of Supervisors held a joint meeting with the Economic Development Authority and adopted the 2025-2029 Economic Development Strategic Plan, which was intended to establish priority work areas for the County’s economic development efforts. At that time, the Board requested periodic updates on the plan’s progress.
STRATEGIC PLAN: Quality of Life - Encourage a vibrant community with economic and recreational opportunities that serve all community members.
DISCUSSION: Attachment A provides a Year 1 update report for the Board. The presentation will include a summary of the report as well as highlight some of the priorities for Year 2.
BUDGET IMPACT: There is no budget impact anticipated with this report.

Staff recommends that the Board receive the update and provide any feedback on ways to refine the focus for Year 2.
