BACKGROUND: This Executive Summary serves as a cover sheet for the Albemarle Broadband Authority (ABBA) Quarterly Report for the months of October - December 2025. The Authority continues its work to support Albemarle County’s goal of universal broadband access through oversight of the VATI 2022 project, the VATI 2021 project has completed final financial review and is now complete.
STRATEGIC PLAN: Infrastructure & Placemaking - Invest in infrastructure and amenities that create connection, opportunity and well-being.
DISCUSSION: The ABBA Quarterly Report is intended to provide broad updates regarding the activities of the Authority related to the County’s goal of universal broadband access. The Authority continues to oversee the VATI 2022 project, the VATI 2021 project has reached its completion.
BUDGET IMPACT: There is no budget impact related to this report.

Staff recommends that the Board of Supervisors review the attached Quarterly Reprot and follow-up with staff and the Authority regarding any questions, comments, or concerns.
