BACKGROUND:  With the completion of AC44, the Community Development Department (CDD) wants to provide the Board of Supervisors with an update of their current work program.  CDD is working to implement the many goals and priorities of AC44, process required ordinance amendments coming out of the 2026 General Assembly session, while continuing to meet the existing operational workload.

STRATEGIC PLAN: Infrastructure & Placemaking - Invest in infrastructure and amenities that create connection, opportunity, and well-being.
Quality of Life - Encourage a vibrant community with economic and recreational opportunities that serve all community members.
Workforce & Customer Service - Recruit & retain engaged public servants who provide quality government services to advance our mission.

DISCUSSION:  This presentation will update the Board on the status of work in CDD.  The presentation will provide the Board information on CDD’s current workload, recent project accomplishments, required ordinance amendments, program priorities endorsed by the Board, and a general timeline of CDD’s overall work program for FY 27.

BUDGET IMPACT: The proposed work plan may be accomplished with existing budget resources.  Consideration of new programs and their budgetary impacts will be a part of the FY 28 Budget development process.
