Title: CPA201900001 Jefferson Area Bike and Pedestrian Plan (2019). To consider formally incorporating proposed recommendations contained in the Jefferson Area Bike and Pedestrian Plan (2019) into the Transportation Chapter of the Albemarle County Comprehensive Plan. The Thomas Jefferson Area Planning District Commission, which also staffs the Charlottesville-Albemarle Metropolitan Planning Organization (C-A MPO) has completed this Plan as an update to their 2004 Jefferson Area Bicycle, Pedestrian and Greenways Plan. The 2019 Plan encourages implementation by providing a focused list of regionally-significant bicycle and pedestrian projects that enhance connectivity to residential and economic centers. Public involvement informed the Plan and will be important for encouraging implementation. It was adopted by the C-A MPO Policy Board in February 2019 and by the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission in March 2019.
